Samtec SFF-SIG
SFF-SIG
(Small Form Factor Special Interest Group)
Is a family of standards that focuses primarily on the development of modular embedded computers and controllers.
Many SFF-SIG specifications use proven interfaces such as PCI Express® and USB in the definition of single-board systems and COM (Computer-on-Module) form factors.
SUMIT
Is an electromechanical connector specification that enables all common serial and legacy chipset expansion buses for next generation products.
It is a stackable, I/O-centric, serial expansion approach that is independent of a specific board form factor. It supports PCIe, USB, LPC, SMBus and ExpressCard signals on a single high-speed connector.
The Q2™ connectors from Samtec comply with the SUMIT standard.
- ASP-129637-01 - QMS Product: male connector for 15.24mm stack height
- ASP-129646-01 - QFS product: female connector for 15.24mm stack height
- ASP-142781-01 - QMS Product: male connector for 22mm stack height
Samtec also offers precision-engineered spacers to limit the impact of tolerance sum issues in embedded applications.
- SO-1524-03-01-02-L - 15.24mm standoff
- SO-2200-03-01-02-L - 22mm standoff
XR-DIMM
(eXtreme Rugged Dual Inline Memory Module)
The specification defines a small mezzanine DDR3/DDR4 expansion memory module for use in embedded applications that require exceptional durability.
The BSH/BTH connectors from Samtec comply with the XR-DIMM standard.
