Since 1894, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has performed product safety testing with the goal of improving employee and consumer safety. As an independent, third-party, non-profit organization, UL has no stake in the products they test. Using UL Certified components in your complete system mitigates risk, demonstrates compliance and delivers confidence, not just in North America, but in many markets worldwide.
Using UL Certified enclosures as the housing for your systems accelerates market access and reduces costs. When selling globally, having an enclosure that meets both European and North American requirements is simpler and more cost effective because some countries prefer UL as the basis for their standard requirements, other use the European CE system. All industrial products that Hammond stocks in the UK carry both European and North American relevant approvals.
