Signal lamps and pushbutton box with IO-Link from RAFI
With new variants of its field-compatible E-BOX command units and TILTED DIAMOND+ signal lamps, RAFI now offers two innovative product families for the IO-Link interface. As a push-button box with IO-Link interface, E-BOX IO-Link opens up the possibility of integrating individual switches and push-buttons into any fieldbus for simple control tasks. Thanks to their M12 connection, the slim and robust units with IP65 can be quickly mounted and commissioned even by untrained personnel.
The IO-Link device identification prevents incorrect installations, as incorrectly installed devices are reported to the controller. The automatic transfer of stored parameters to replacement devices via the IO-Link master provides further simplification. Thanks to the integrated short-travel keyswitches of the MICON 5 series, the illuminated pushbuttons of the E-BOX have excellent tactile feedback and can be customised with a wide range of functions via IO-Link. In addition to the night mode with different brightness levels, this also includes the flexible selection between white, red, green, blue and yellow illumination or three RGB colours that can be set by the customer. In addition, the push-buttons can be configured with four different flashing modes for different applications. RAFI supplies the E-BOX IO-Link ready for use equipped with one or two switching or display elements from the RAFIX FS 22+ series.
Printed or unprinted FLEXLAB labelling sheets are used for individual labelling of the command units. With their compact dimensions of 123.2 mm x 40 mm x 35.6 mm, the command units are ideally suited for mounting on 40 mm wide profile rails of production facilities or safety fences. For mounting, the accessories offer a mounting clip for profile rail grooves and other mounting surfaces, onto which the E-box is simply snapped.
At the same time, RAFI is launching an IO-Link version of its RGB LED signal lamps from the TILTED DIAMOND+ series, which can also be set up in a very short time thanks to M12 connection and IO-Link parameterisation. In addition to freely configurable night settings and luminaire colours, TILTED DIAMOND+ IO-Link offers the option of signalling application-specific alarms or machine states by means of eight different flashing modes such as flashing, blinking or pulsating light. The signal lamps are characterised by special brightness, vibration resistance with IP66 protection, freedom from maintenance and their unusual dome-shaped aperture design. Thanks to the diamond-shaped lenses arranged all around, the bezels achieve excellent illumination, clear signal colours and best visibility over long distances. Mounting tubes in various lengths and shapes as well as a mounting foot are available as accessories.
