Continuously measuring level sensor (EBE)
The sensors allow continuous, non-contact level monitoring over wide measuring ranges. The patented capaTEC® technology of the second generation enables a high measuring accuracy of typically 1mm and makes the sensors virtually insensitive to all external interference.
Capacitive measurement of many liquids, granular or powdery substances up to a dielectric constant of 𐐁r = 4 are possible.
The sensors are small and flat and can be easily mounted on the outside of a container or behind the wall of an appliance. With integrated temperature and humidity compensation, they are able to deliver precise measurement results under fluctuating ambient conditions.
For example, they can be used in coffee machines as level switches, limit switches or continuously measuring sensors in the water tank, bean container or in the residual water tray. However, they also have a wide range of applications in household appliances and in medical technology, where a wide variety of liquid levels need to be detected.
The level sensors are customised to the specific requirements and properties of the customer application. The capaTEC® technology enables precise adaptation to confined installation spaces and difficult conditions. Development and planning of series production are carried out in close co-operation with the customer.
For example, the sensors can be supplemented with inductive presence detection to ensure that containers or drawers are positioned correctly.
The measurement algorithm can be optimised for the detection or masking of biofilms and other lubricating films.
Standard sizes:
- LCPB025: 25mm Sensor area, Dimensions 38 × 25mm

Evaluation Kit – Quick access to the application
The data is transferred directly to the PC via the interface. This allows customers to test the performance of the level sensors in their own applications. The download link for the associated control software (PC software) and the Quick Start Guide can be found below.
