Capacitive silicone force sensor

Product features

The force-sensitive sensor made of silicone. It works according to the capacitive principle and can measure both touch and pressure force. It can be shaped three-dimensionally and thus enables ergonomic interaction with surfaces.

  • Force: 1...10 N
  • Stroke: up to 1.0 mm
  • Lifetime: > 0.5 million cycles
  • Temperature range: -40...+85°C
  • Applications: Touch surfaces, prostheses, exoskeletons, grippers, robotics.
  • Project-specific adaptations of the properties are possible.

Your benefit
  • Neue ergonomische Designmöglichkeiten dank echter dreidimensionaler Formgebung

Prevention of unintentional operation

The SXTSC1 force sensor can measure the force applied to a soft or hard surface. This can ensure that an operation is only performed when the user has deliberately touched the surface.

Prostheses & Exoskeletons

The SXTSC1 soft force sensor can detect local pressure points. Together with simple electronics, multiple sensors can be used for directional control in prostheses and gloves. The SXTSC1 adapts to the shape of the body, is robust and easy to integrate. We offer support with both the electronics and the sensor design.

Get started straight away with the starter kit

Experience for yourself what the SXTSC1 can do. Quickly and easily build a prototype for your application. The starter kit contains four sensors, an electronic evaluation unit (USB) and a graphical user interface, which simplify your first steps with the new technology.
